Pastor Vinh
Vinh Nguyen has been in the New Orleans areas since August of 2012. He moved to the area from Arkadelphia, Arkansas where he completed his Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies and Christian Ministry at Ouachita Baptist University. He is currently working on his Masters of Arts degree specializing in Biblical Languages. Upon completion of that degree, he hopes to continue his studies at the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary by pursuing a Master’s of Theology degree. He aspires to study and work on his Ph.D. in the UK at some point in the future.
Vinh has been married to his wife Michele since July of 2010. They met in southern Illinois (close to St. Louis) where they both lived for over twenty years before relocating to Arkansas. Before moving to Louisiana, he served as a pastoral intern and college minister at Crossgate Church in Hot Springs, AR.
Vinh is passionate about ministry and enjoys teaching and preaching to students and adults alike. His desire is to see the students of this generation displaying a relentless love and obedience toward a God who is unrelenting in His love. He seeks to equip students with strong biblical teaching so the Holy Spirit can move in their lives in ways that will be Kingdom changing. “I want to help make disciples who will keep making disciples for the Kingdom of God.”
In his spare time, Vinh enjoys spending time with his daughter Alli, fishing, hunting, sports, backpacking (basically anything outdoors). He also loves to read, study biblical languages, do biblical research, and write. He loves music and wants to learn to play the violin and keyboard as well as learn to fly airplanes in the future.
